Chatham mornings settle in with a gentle quiet, making the daily routine for your charges easy to establish. Take the dog for a regular stroll along the pathways bordering the Manning River, where the calm water reflects the trees, offering a peaceful start to the day. Or, explore one of the local green spaces for a game of fetch. The unhurried pace here means you can return home to a relaxed pet and still have ample time for your own morning coffee at a nearby corner store before tending to other household duties. Weekends offer a chance to explore further afield without disrupting your pet’s schedule too much. A short drive east lands you at Old Bar Beach, providing a refreshing change of scenery if your charges are settled at home for a few hours. Alternatively, dedicate an afternoon to a longer, meandering walk through the quieter residential streets, observing the varied architecture. The nearby bushland tracks, like those towards Cattai Wetlands, are also accessible by car and perfect for human exploration, offering a different natural experience when your pet is content indoors. The days here unfold without urgency. Consider sourcing fresh produce from Taree's riverside markets on a Thursday morning, integrating it into your home cooking. Evening strolls with the dog are tranquil affairs, often met with friendly nods from neighbours. This relaxed atmosphere ensures that your primary responsibility – the well-being of the home and its pets – remains central, while still allowing personal time to appreciate the outdoors surrounding this quiet suburb.
