We live on a beautiful farm just 15 minutes from the seaside village of Bermagui. Our 160 acre farm is surrounded by bushland, including Biamanga National Park. Our 2 BR house sits at the top of the farm, with expansive views of the farm, bushland and Mount Gulaga to the north. The house has a wood fire and the firewood is already chopped, stacked and ready to go. We have no shortage of water on the farm. We've set the farm up to be very low maintenance while we are away. Sitting on the patio, looking out over the farm and its resident kangaroos, and listening to the myriad of birds is an exercise in serenity.

Our farm has 12 cattle and 28 sheep. We will require our house sitter to check on them and give them some feed each day (buckets of grain and a few biscuits of hay). It's a low maintenance job, and the animals will get to know you and come to you. We will ask the sitter to contact us with any issues, and we will coordinate a response - the sitter would need to be the on-farm contact for a vet or contractor, if required.

We have an old dog: a 16yo jack russell. He needs love, company, warmth, some easy meals (eg. cooked chicken meat) and to be let outside for a 5-minute toilet break in the middle of the night. He's an inside dog, but also loves to walk around the farm and can stay in the dog-proof house yard during the day when you have to go out.

We have lovely neighbours, and will also arrange for a farm worker to drop by each week to check on the farm. Our regular farm contractors (plumbers etc) will be able to respond to anything unexpected also.

The house has unlimited, high speed broadband connected.

Please note this is a working farm with dams and creeks, and therefore would not be suitable for a short stay by non-farming families with young children.
