House sit JERRABOMBERRA
Assignment Requirements
The main kitchen is a commercial-style galley layout, with appliances for every type of cooking, including an ice cream machine, a pasta machine, a rice cooker, a pressure cooker, a grill press, and a KitchenAid mixer with several attachments, a Thermomix, and plenty more. It's a chef's paradise! The living area has a full laser projector with recliner lounges and rocking recliners.
There's high-speed Wi-Fi, a large deck with barbecue and outdoor dining, a plunge pool, a trampoline and swing set, beautiful views, native gardens, frog ponds, abundant birdlife, off-street parking, a nearby bus stop, and shops within walking distance. It’s quiet, private, and relaxing, with plenty of space to enjoy both indoors and out.
Our 2 friendly boxers, Olaf and Eggnog, are affectionate and easy to care for. Their routine is breakfast and dinner, fresh water, and a quick daily check of their designated concrete toilet area. Our regular dog walker is part of their routine, and we’d also love a sitter who enjoys walking them for up to 1 hour a day when conditions are safe. Because boxers are sensitive to sun and heat, please keep them indoors during hot or high-UV periods. Walks should only be in cool, low-UV conditions; indoor play is a great alternative. Olaf has had severe allergic reactions to bull ants, so please avoid ant nests and areas where bull ants may be present. Please keep the dogs out of the backyard during the summer; there may be bull ants and unidentified plants that sometimes cause Olaf to develop mild skin welts. They have a dog door, no daily medication, and can be left for up to 6 hours, although regular long absences aren't suitable.
Our 6 chickens are very easy to care for. Their feeder, water system, and coop door are automated, and food and water levels can be checked via a phone app; top-ups are usually needed only about once a week to 10 days. Every 2nd or 3rd day, collect the eggs in the very late afternoon or early evening (just before dark). It's a useful time to do this, because you can also check all the chickens are safely inside before the automated coop door closes for the night. There is a camera that will also help check their food and water, and the general area, but it doesn't quite reach the coop.
