House sit BENTLEY PARK

We live in a single storey open plan, 3 bed (2 queen beds), 2 bath home, with a swimming pool and undercover parking. We live in a quiet neighbourhood and back onto a park, with surrounding mountain views, and there are a large number of walking/cycling trails nearby. We're close to the shops and a variety of takeaways, and a 15 minute drive from Cairns City.

Tucker and Kelti are inside and outside dogs; due to the climate we usually have the patio door open during the day to enjoy the breeze. They have dog beds in the house and on the patio, and wouldn't say no to a snuggle on the sofa. We feed them daily, morning and late afternoon. They're not on any regular medications, and no health problems. We do give the pups Nexgard Spectra once a month, but we will give them their dose on the first of May, and are happy to give them their June dose on our return which is 8 June.

Our garden is relatively low maintenance, watering is usually only on as as needs basis for a few hanging baskets in the pool area. We do have some garden beds with watering systems on a timer, which makes it easier.

We have a pool, so someone with experience in keeping an eye on the pH and chlorine levels would be optimal. The pool pump needs to be turned on and off daily, and about once a week it's good to vacuum the pool We have a track driven robotic pool vacuum, so it's simple to just put it in the pool, turn it on, and leave it to run it's course, then take it out when done. That said, we have friends who have offered to look after the pool while we are away. So that's an option too, if you don't mind having a visit once a week.

With the length of time we're away, the lawn will probably need to be mowed at least during the housesit. It's preferred to have a housesitter who can do this for us, however our friends who have offered to look after the pool said they'd be happy to mow while we're away, if needed.

Other regular tasks include taking the bin(s) out to the road for Thursday morning collection, and bringing in the mail.

Because we have a pool, we would prefer to have either a couple, or a single housesitter, rather than a family with young children.

We have good internet speed, I work from home several days per week and haven't had any issues. We have streaming services (Netflix & Disney+).
