House sit BENALLA

Your mornings in Benalla begin with crisp air off the Broken River. Your charge’s first walk often leads along the wide, paved track encircling Lake Benalla. This loop provides ever-changing water views, ideal for both leisurely strolls or energetic runs, depending on your companion’s needs. Afterward, a quiet moment at a local café, perhaps The Northo, offers a chance to observe the town's unhurried pace as you plan your day. Afternoon strolls with your furry friend might take you through the Benalla Botanical Gardens, a peaceful haven of mature trees and shaded paths. You’ll find numerous spots for quiet contemplation or a shaded rest. Weekends offer longer excursions. Consider a drive to the Winton Wetlands, where expansive landscapes and abundant birdlife provide a profound sense of space, a welcome change from city parklands. Pack water and lead for extended rambles. Saturday mornings often feature local produce at the Benalla market, an opportunity to gather fresh ingredients. A visit to the Benalla Art Gallery, set beside the lake, provides a cultural pause, easily accessible after a morning walk. The town’s easy navigation and flat terrain make daily errands simple, allowing more time to enjoy the natural surrounds with your temporary housemates.
