House sit MYRTLE CREEK
Assignment Requirements
The house was designed on solar passive principles with plenty of northern windows to heat the house on sunny winter days. It is double glazed and well insulated so very comfortable, It also features a tucked away deck that protects from southerly wind and is great to enjoy all year round. There are two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a study and a large kitchen and open living area.
The nearest shops are a 20 minute drive away and a 30 minute drive will get you to Bendigo or to Castlemaine. There is no public transport.
The vineyard needs no attention, but there are a few raised vegetable beds that will need some water. Sitters are welcome to any available veggies. And of course eggs.
We have two kelpies who roam free around the outside of the house by day (they don’t go far unless we all go on walks together) and have an overnight shelter they need to be put in each night. They get fed twice a day. No need for grooming - they self-clean in the dam! :-) The dogs can be left on their own for a few hours at a time.
There are also four chooks who have their own house and outdoor run, but they free range by day and get locked up overnight. They are low maintenance with grain feeder and water dripper only needing topping up every few days. Daily kitchen scraps are appreciated by them.
