We are looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter for our 5-year-old miniature schnauzer, Minnie, while we are away overseas. Minnie is an inside dog who is quiet and sleeps a lot during the day. She is used to being walked daily and usually has 2–3 short walks a day. These only need to be around 10–15 minutes each so she can get some activity and do her business. We live in a beautiful three-bedroom apartment in Newcastle CBD, close to shops, restaurants, the beach and light rail. The apartment also has a home office, so it would suit someone who works from home. There is a small, grassed toilet area in the courtyard, but Minnie generally prefers to be walked to go to the toilet. There is also a park across from the complex. Minnie is best suited to quieter walks around the residential streets near our apartment. She can be reactive on the lead when she sees other people or dogs, so we avoid busy, highly populated areas and keep her walks calm and local. She also needs one tablet medication each day, which is given with food. This sit would suit someone who enjoys a quiet, low-key dog, is comfortable managing short lead walks, and would like to stay in a lovely apartment in a very convenient Newcastle location.
