house sitting, pet sitting and minor garden maintenance

We are going on a 12 months assignment overseas, and while away would like for a house sitter to be present at our property and take care of our cat Schatzi.

The house sitter would live in a self contained and furnished 1 bedroom apartment (with stunning views of the village and the surrounding mountains) on the ground floor of the house. The apartment has a large living/kitchen area, one bedroom and one bathroom and is suited for an individual or a couple. Our cat Schatzi is 18 years old and healthy for her age. She is very social and likes company. We would expect the house sitter to keep the apartment clean and in good condition, collect the mail and do some minor garden maintenance around the immediate area of the house and court yard (sweeping, watering, weeding). There is also a car park and access to laundry facilities.
