House Sitting in east melbourne, 3002

Morning routines in East Melbourne often begin with a long stroll through the Fitzroy Gardens or along the leafy paths bordering the Royal Botanic Gardens. These sprawling green spaces offer quiet, shaded routes for early morning walks with a resident dog, keeping pets engaged and tired before the midday heat sets in. The pace here feels intentional and calm, a stark contrast to the nearby CBD bustle. While you look after the home, you can easily transition from a quiet reading session to exploring the local café strips tucked away on side streets. Weekends lend themselves to wandering through the Carlton Gardens or catching a tram toward the nearby university precinct for a change of scenery. If you crave a more structured weekend, the local markets provide fresh produce for slow cooking in the host's kitchen. Getting around relies on the seamless tram network, making it easy to leave the garden gates behind for a few hours. Staying here means embracing a lifestyle centered on botanical beauty and gentle, outdoor-focused movement.
