House Sitting in marulan, 2579

Life in Marulan moves at a slower, deliberate pace suited for those who enjoy the quiet rhythms of the Southern Highlands fringe. Most mornings begin with the sounds of native birds rather than traffic, making it a peaceful base for watching over a home and its resident animals. Taking a dog for a long walk along the nearby bushland tracks offers immediate access to fresh air and solitude. The local landscape transitions quickly from open paddocks to dense eucalyptus forests, providing endless trails for exploring on foot or by bike. Weekends often involve short drives toward the busier hubs of Goulburn or Mittagong to find specific supplies or local markets. While the village itself remains understated, the proximity to the Great Southern Highway ensures you are never isolated from essential services. Sitting on a back deck with a coffee provides a stillness that is hard to find in larger towns. Caring for a property here feels less like a chore and more like an opportunity to settle into the natural landscape.
