House Sitting in lismore, 2480

Navigating Lismore requires a mix of local knowledge and reliable transport, especially when managing pet walking schedules. While the CBD is walkable, most house sitters find a car essential for reaching the grocery stores or the weekly markets that define the town's rhythm. Walking dogs is simplest along the banks of the Wilsons River, where shaded paths offer a cooling escape for pets during humid afternoons. For those without a vehicle, the local bus network connects residential pockets to the main café strips, though timing is everything. Routine errands usually involve trips to the larger supermarkets on the outskirts, as the central streets focus more on niche boutiques and small-scale eateries. If you need to stock up on supplies while looking after a home, the driving distance is minimal, but the hilly terrain can be taxing on foot. Life here moves at a deliberate pace, centered around river access and lush greenery. Settling into a sitter role means embracing these slower rhythms and understanding that local transit often dictates your daily flow.
