TallowWood Cottage is a 3-bedroom 1928 timber home on less than half an acre. It's in Rural Northern Rivers, about 15 minutes from Minyon Falls. Garden has a permaculture design. It's 40 minutes inland from Byron Bay. It has simple rain-water and grey-water systems.

I don't have pets. It's the garden that needs a bit of care. If it rains, also clearing out the rain-tank water-trap/filter. I don't think you'll be busy. There's also a double carport for cars. Kitchen has a fridge, dishwasher, electric over and gas stove. The whole house is well ventilated with fans. There's no air-conditioning.

Assignment Requirements

House-sitting, garden care and watering in a rural small cottage. Keep the place in order. Provide water for wildlife including birds, wallabies, koalas, bandicoots, bats and the occasional reptile for about a month as I will be away. Given the hot summer, I think best to have someone look after the place and enjoy this beautiful place. I was not evacuated in the November fires; my neighbour is the Chief of the Rosebank Rural Fire Service, and his property wraps around mine. You can bring a dog, but it must sleep restrained on one of the 3 verandahs. There's a shared kitchen/lounge with Wifi NBN. Water conservation ability is essential.
