Requirements

A newly built cottage on 600 acres of bushland, 20km from Mareeba. Loads of natural light, gas cooking. Adjacent to a national park with abundant wildlife. Birdlife is incredible, with over 150 species recorded. Northern quolls, rock wallabies and wallaroos are regular visitors. You will able to hike and explore the valleys and bush of our property all to yourself, if that's to your liking.

The cottage is set on a rise looking through the woodland. We have 1 dog, a former rescue dog, very placid and very well trained. She can be left happily all day but not overnight. She loves walks in the huge garden.

The garden is very easy to care for, just turning on the water to the plants weekly, and weekly hose watering of the undercover plants. There may be mowing once just to tidy up, but it is the dry season so the grass tends to hibernate :-)

The property offers easy access to Mareeba and the incredible sights of FNQ. Come and experience the rodeo (a small one this year), the local coffee, produce, markets and events. It is only ninety minutes to Cairns or Port Douglas. The property is rural, and you should be comfortable with wildlife and the 3km gravel road to access it. Your own transport will be essential.

The property has excellent phone reception and TV.

As this property is a wildlife refuge no other domestic animals are allowed.
