Assignment Requirements

Our 15-year-old Maltese terrier Peanut needs to be fed twice a day, is happy to be in the backyard during the day, but loves nothing more than to spend quiet evenings with human friends in the lounge area, watching Netflix, reading or chatting. He takes a little while to warm up to new people, but will be no trouble for anyone who's sensitive to a dog's body language. Take Peanut for a walk through the bush or next to the lake and he'll be the happiest dog in the world!

Apart from caring for Peanut and generally keeping the house tidy, the only other responsibility is to water the plants daily. The concrete driveway down to the backyard is pretty steep - you'll need good mobility to negotiate this. Sorry, no children or pets.

So many options for day-trips from this location: Central Coast, Newcastle, spectacular beaches, Hunter Valley, etc. Bring your boat or canoe to enjoy the lake from the boat ramp and jetty at nearby Sunshine Park, or just spend time on the deck enjoying the view, the birdlife and the breeze. You can arrive by car or by public transport - the closest train station is Morisset and buses go from there to Sunshine. We have a RAV-4 you can borrow that's fine for quick trips to the shops, but is not suitable for highway driving.
