House sit Amity

Our 8 year old retriever Maggie and 2 year old JR x Jasper will greet you with much enthusiasm and Chook the chook will happily spend time in her yard or free-range, and atm she lays every single day.

Meerkat Manor is an original 2 bedroom 1950s island cottage with all mod cons including ceiling fans in all rooms, air con (lounge, kitchen, and main bedroom), and NBN throughout the property There's a large rear deck with BBQ, bistro blinds, comfy seating, wifi, Google mini, and overhead heating - it's where we spend most of our time year round.

Amity is a relaxed and quiet little fishing village - there's a tavern at the end of our quiet, leafy road, and the general store is just a short walk on the way to the jetty/swimming/fishing/BBQ areas, and community club. A 10 minute walk in the other direction and you'll find great coffee, locally caught seafood, and Amity Beach. The laundry with washer, drier, camping chairs and cabana etc is located in the garage.

'Straddie' has two medical centres, a small local hospital, a boutique brewery, other small supermarkets and fresh produce shops, a hotel/pub, surf, golf, sports and bowls club, and various shops and cafes. There's many wonderful sandy beaches for swimming, surfing or fishing, plus fresh water lakes and endless bush-walking tracks. Water taxis and vehicle ferries go to the mainland every hour and there's a bus service between the three island villages and ferry terminals.
