Assignment Requirements

We live in a quiet sea side town on Phillip Island Victoria and are looking for someone to house sit & look after our 11 year old indoor cat Molly. She never goes outside.

Molly needs feeding treats in the morning and food at night plus cleaning her litter tray daily.

Watering our indoor plants once a week and very small garden maybe required if the weather is warm.

Unfortunately no other pets can come with you as Molly isn’t used to other animals.

There is a cafe, restaurant, general store with take away & a fish & chip shop all a short walk away.

Cowes, Phillip Islands main town is a 7 minute drive away.

About the Area

Rhyll Gippsland, Victoria

Suburb Insights

Life in Rhyll moves at a deliberate, tidal pace that suits a quiet house-sitting routine. Mornings often begin with the sound of the Bass Strait, providing a steady rhythm for feeding pets and settling into the home's stillness. Long, sandy stretches along the coast offer intuitive walking routes for dogs, especially when heading toward the dunes or the quieter stretches near Phillip Island National Park. The salty air keeps the atmosphere fresh, making it easy to unwind after a day of managing household duties. Afternoon strolls can lead toward the local café strips, where a slow coffee serves as a way to observe the local drift. If the week aligns with market days, exploring nearby stalls offers a chance to pick up fresh local produce for home-cooked meals. This area functions best as a calm home base for those who value coastal solitude over frantic activity. Getting around remains straightforward via local roads, though the true draw is the ability to coexist quietly with the local wildlife and resident pets.
