House sit KORUMBURRA

Life in Korumburra moves at a gentle, rhythmic pace dictated by the rolling hills of South Gippsland. Mornings often begin with a walk through the local parks or a slow stroll along the walking trails that skirt the township, offering plenty of quiet space for a dog to explore on a long lead. Most locals find their footing along the main café strips, where the smell of roasted coffee drifts through the air and neighbors recognize one another by name. Finding a quiet corner in a local bakery for a sourdough loaf or a seasonal pastry provides a simple, reliable way to settle into the town’s understated charm. The nearby markets offer a chance to stock up on fresh, regional produce, making it easy to cook slow meals while staying home to keep an eye on the pets. While the town lacks the rush of a city, its strength lies in these small, predictable comforts. Settling into a house sitter role here means embracing the stillness of the countryside and the ease of a community built on simple, everyday connections.
