Assignment Requirements

Hi there,

We are looking for house sitter/s to look after our three timid fur baby cats (Smokey, Bandit & Bella) for 2.5 weeks at Easter. They are all indoor cats so all doors must be kept closed at all times (all doors and windows have security screens for airflow). We also have two cows (Sunday & Chuck) that like to be hand fed a loaf of bread each in the late afternoon!

We have a 4 bedroomed house on 5 acres with a pool for use in the beautiful area of Samford Valley. Would like pot plants watering and the lawn mowing if it needs it. We are 4.5km from Samford Village, which has everything you need. Otherwise bigger supermarkets are not far away.

All normal things in the house plus wifi and netflix

Prefer to do a meet and greet, will require references and be a non-smoker

About the Area

Samford Valley Brisbane, Queensland
Suburb Insights
Samford Valley offers a tranquil escape, where the pace slows noticeably. Village life centres around Main Street, a friendly hub where you’ll quickly recognise faces. Expect nods from neighbours on morning strolls, fostering a genuine sense of connection. This slower rhythm often suits pets, who appreciate consistent routines without the city's frantic energy, making daily dog walks a calm, social affair. The Samford Valley Rail Trail is a local favourite for dog walking, providing shaded paths perfect for stretching legs. For daily supplies, the village IGA handles most needs, while independent cafes like The Flying Nun offer spots for a quiet coffee after pet duties. Weekends often bring the Farmers Market, a chance to immerse yourself in local produce and village chatter, perfect for sourcing fresh ingredients for your temporary home. Exploring beyond the village usually requires a car, opening up access to the wider Samford Conservation Park trails, ideal for longer pet adventures. While public transport is sparse, the quiet roads are pleasant for local drives. Evenings here are often about peace and stargazing, a perfect backdrop for winding down with your temporary animal companions. Samford values its quietude, making it ideal for those seeking a gentle, engaged stay.
