Requirements

Hi all. I am an art therapist and teacher and my husband is a Police Officer and we are heading to the UK. We would like a reliable and a very neat and clean sitter (single person) to look after our home and our cats and chickens . Our house sitter must be a non-smoker. Our cats are independent and easy to care for.

Our home sits on an acre and has semi rural views.

Our home is kept in a very neat and tidy standard and we would like the sitter to be the same way inclined. We really would appreciate our home being left the way it was found.

Some gardening may need to be done due to length of the sit. You wont have to worry about the mowing of grass as we will have someone else to do that. We do have a veggie garden and fruit trees. You are more than welcome to eat what ever you pick. You may like to grow your own veggies during your stay.

Our town Ulverstone is right on the beach and divided by a river. Beautiful paddocks and a mountain range is at the south of the town. Leven Canyon and Gunns Plains Caves can be found here. Cradle Mountain is about an hours drive, Stanley is about hour and half and so is Launceston. Nearest airport is at Devonport about a 20 min drive.

You can walk to Ulverstone town centre and the beach from our place, but a car is needed if the weather is poor. Plenty of native wildlife here including parrots and fairy penguins at the beach. Ulverstone has supermarkets, chemists and other normal amenities. There is also a local food trail to follow along the coast. These include berries, cheeses, chocolates and ice creams.

Our three cats are fairly independent. They come and go as they please during the day. At night we would like Melba and Heinz in. They sleep in the laundry. Tom you may be lucky to catch him....don't worry if you don't as he is an ex feral cat who adopted us. Cats are feed the standard twice a day and like a warm spot to sleep in the house. The chickens are locked up at night in their chook house, but a happy to roam during the day. Their house will need cleaning as needed.
