We live in a lovely house with bush views in Upper Ferntree Gully in Melbourne. There is a large deck to sit out on during summer and big bifold doors opening out onto the deck from the family room so you can feel like you are part of the surroundings. We have a 12 month old dog. He is a Mastiff /Labrador cross who is super friendly and is in the house most of his day and sleeps in the bathroom. He needs one walk each day for 30 mins to an hour. He is a big boy, so sitter would need to be comfortable with large dogs. He is also used to having someone home a lot - I work from home so he is rarely left for more than a few hours at a time. Therefore someone who works full time would not be suitable.

We have two chickens. The house sitter would need to keep them fed and with water as well as let them out and put them in a few days a week. Other expectations would be for the sitter to keep the house clean, collect the mail and pay a small contribution to utilities.
