House sit WONDECLA

Wondecla is a small village 4 klms outside of Herberton the original town on the Atherton Tablelands, famous for the Herberton Historical Village the largest collection of australiana in the southern hemisphere. Herberton also boasts a steam train ride on alternative weekends. The town has a well stocked supermarket, a chemist, hairdresser, post office, library, hardware, spy camera museum, mining museum showcasing Herberton's tin origins, and two op shops to mention a few of its features. The Atherton Tableland is a well kept secret with beautiful rolling hills and waterfalls and incredible bird life, the horse capital of north queensland and great bike rides meander through the locality. Our Bear does like a walk on a lead, and spending time on a runner outside, but spends most of his time indoors with the family. He is part labrador, part border collie and part?? He is 5 years old and greets you with a big bark while wagging his tail. Atherton is 25 klms away and boasts the best IGA in Australia, a tourist attraction in its own right, plus a woolies and Big W as well as a variety of shops. Herberton has a community Hub where people meet up on Wednesday evening for a free meal and Friday for cards, scrabble and board games and is a great place to meet the locals.. Our home is set on 4 acres with a creek on the boundary. It is off the main road and has a dirt road of 130 meters leading to the main gate. We have a garage where you can park your car. We are happy for sitters to come earlier to settle into the routine.
