House sit HOWARD

Hi there, we love travelling, but our sooky dog takes so long to get to know someone, we have to hang around until she is okay. We have just lost her mate, so travelling is on hold at the moment. But we are looking for a long term, retired couple to help us with our lawns and gardens, and Miss Mishka is happy for us to travel again!

We offer a one bed fully furnished cottage, includes brand new washer machine. Has an outdoor seating area, even a ‘hot house’ for a vegie garden. Double carport, room to park cars and van, very private, very quiet. Rent free, includes power. The cottage is located at the opposite end of the property, away from the main house.

We are looking for a couple interested in maybe putting their roots down for a few months/years. (Our current people have been with us for nearly 3 years, almost like family.)

The Burrum River is at the bottom of the garden, teeming with fish and crabs.

The local village shops are 5 km away, include Grocery, Butcher, Baker, Hairdresser, Doctor, Chemist, Hotel etc. Hervey Bay is 25 minutes away.

The property is 10 acres in size, most of which are gardens. There is the usual jobs such as mowing etc. But we need someone that can maintain gardens, (you need to know the difference between a weed and a plant……..no joke!)

The cottage will be vacant in the next few days, so we are looking for someone who is readily available. Please don’t apply if you are single, this is most suited to a couple.
