Assignment Requirements

I have a beautifully renovated weatherboard cottage in Clontarf on the Redcliffe Peninsula, just a short walk to the water, parks, shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s a relaxed, coastal area with everything you need close by. It has all the mod-cons like Starlink internet, dishwasher, robot vacuum, reverse cycle air-conditioning in two of the bedrooms and main living area, and even a heated toilet seat! The yard is small and very easy to maintain, especially in the cooler months, requiring a mow only every 2-3 weeks or thereabouts.

I have two well-behaved, medium-sized dogs (shiba inu) who spend most of the day lazing around indoors. The first is Hikari, a 9 year old female who thinks she owns the street and the second is Kuma, an 8 year old male who does whatever Hikari tells him to do. They enjoy a good walk each day (at least 45 mins) and the odd play with their toys but are otherwise very low maintenance. They are fine to be left alone during the day, although, I would prefer they weren't left on their own for long periods. For example, someone who works and is away from the house for 8-10 hours per day wouldn't be suitable. Smokers also aren't suitable, sorry.

The house has a large, fully furnished spare room with queen bed, built-in closet, reverse cycle air-conditioning, separate access.

The third bedroom is an office space perfect for anyone who wants to work-from-home, complete with super fast (and reliable) Starlink wifi.

There is off-street parking in the driveway but it's not under cover. You would also need your own vehicle or be happy to use the very convenient public transport close by.

My needs for a housesitter are very straightforward:

1. Walk and feed the dogs each day

2. Pick up after them in the yard

3. Yard maintenance every 1-2 weeks, depending on the season / need

4. General care of the home (bins/mail/watering plants, etc.)

This would best suit a single person or couple who enjoy a quiet, comfortable home and spending time with dogs.

I'm more than happy to answer any further questions you might have as I'm sure there are things I have forgotten to mention.
