Location: Wallarobba 2420
State: New South Wales
Duration: 13 days
Dates: 27-Jul-2019 - 08-Aug-2019
Requirements: House and pet sitting needed on our property in the country which is 31 acres with a newly renovated 3 bedroom home 15 minutes south of Dungog which is also where the nearest shops are. If you have a caravan or RV we have power suited to your needs, we also have a self contained granny flat for you to stay in if needed.
We have 3 labradors which are indoor/outdoor dogs and 3 cats which come and go as they please.
We have 8 horses that will require being fed morning and night ( 4 just get hay) and their water maintained. Being the end of July some may still have rugs that need to be put on over night. It would be of benefit if you had some experience with horses.
We also have a pet pig who needs to be put to bed in his pen every night and let out of a morning, 6 pet sheep that need to be put in their pen of a night and a pet goat and 2 alpacas that are the same. All are extremly friendly, easy to manage and will go anywhere for food. To do the morning feeds takes approx 15 mins and evening feeds around an hour.
There are 2 chickens and a rooster that will need food and water and 7 budgies in an avery that will need the same.
There is no real garden maintainence required as the sheep ate all the plants, but the back yard will need to have the dog poo picked up regularly.
A real love of dogs in particular is a must because our dogs are family members who do pretty much everything with us around here.
Wallarobba is only 40 mins from Maitland or Raymond Terrace and an hour from Newcastle where we have some amazing beaches. We live in a very scenic area where there is also plenty of opportunities for bush walking, country drives and exploring small country towns. We also have kayaks that could be used to paddle around the nearby picturesque Williams river if you desire.
