Stay in the heart of the historic Victorian goldfields in a classic two-storey Georgian-style home dating from the 1860s. Our home offers three spacious bedrooms — one with en-suite bathroom — a large lounge room, two other sitting areas, a formal dining room, a study/library, a kitchen with wood-fired stove and electric oven, a walk-in pantry and a wine cellar. Two large market umbrellas shade a 10-seater outdoor table overlooking the garden.

A 43-inch Samsung smart TV in the lounge room offers Netflix, Kayo, Binge and BritBox, and wifi connection is excellent, making working from home easy. There is a second TV in a separate sitting area.

We have a combination of hydronic and electric heating for winter, and while the solid triple-brick construction keeps the home cool in summer, there are ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms as well as a split-system air-conditioner in the second sitting area. There is garage parking for one car, and off-street secure parking for several other vehicles. We share our home with a lovely, gentle three-year-old black Labrador named Rosie who loves walks and company.

The extensive garden, which has featured in the Victorian Open Garden Scheme, is filled with fruit trees, roses and other flowering trees and bushes. A feature is a glorious 25-metre grapevine arbor, along with a small lotus pond with goldfish.

Our town is close to Maryborough, Maldon, Castlemaine, Talbot, Avoca and Bendigo, and has an award-winning bakery, a pub which serves meals, a small supermarket, a butcher, a couple of cafes, antiques/collectables and craft shops, a post office and a pharmacy.
