This is Honey. She is just over a year old and is a bit skiddish but friendly once she gets to know you. We think something happened to her as a kitten as she doesn't liked to be pat on the head (unless it's under the chin).
This is Mooch. She is 4 years old and is a very loving cat who will happily sit on your lap.
This is Ollie, he is our old boy. Ollie is a 16 year old male who loves a pat and will sit on your lap if he feels the need. Most of the time he lives on top of the dryer but will always welcome a pat when you go downstairs.
Now this here is Pinky. She is 4th generation Common Brushtail Possum who likes to visit late afternoon / early evenings. Pinky is the 4th baby that we have seen raised at our property by her mum and is tame enough that we feed her by hand. She loves sweet potato and grapes and you can even give her a gentle pat. Sometimes her mum will come as well and you can also pat and hand feed her. Remembering these are still wild animals and care around children is always paramount.
Meet Lola, our feisty little Miniature Dachschund. Lola is only 5 months old and already runs the house. She is an energetic little food munching machine who has the best puppy eyes you will ever see. Lola loves a swim in the Billabong, playing with her friend Mimi or following her big brother Jetty around the yard. If you have ever seen the movie

Assignment Requirements

Billabong Views is a 47 acre property that backs onto the beautiful Burnett River. We have a "Billabong" and 2 other dams on our property that are filled with wildlife. You can walk to the river or just rest in the peaceful surrounds of the gardens.

Our house is an old Queenslander (approximately 60 years old) that is currently being renovated by us (it's devoted owners). We are hoping to give the old girl new life after being slightly neglected prior to our purchase.

We currently do not have any "farm animals" but have plenty of "domestic" ones for you to enjoy. We have a friendly possum that loves apples and sweet potatoes and will come most nights to see what is on offer. Oh and we have do have 5 chooks that have a very large yard to scratch around in and are probably the most "low maintenance" animals we have!

As our property is 30 minutes from the nearest shop we would recommend bringing ample food / drinks for the whole stay. If you do need anything, it is a pretty drive along country road to town, you just need to watch for Kangaroos, apparently they don't know the road rules!

All linen and animal food will be provided.
