Assignment Requirements

We are on 5 acres of beautiful rainforest, with a natural stream running through the property. Enjoy the sounds of nature while sitting on the verandah and sipping on you favourite beverage and just relax..

Best suited to someone with their own caravan or van, unless you would be comfortable indoors, our home is currently under construction. We are at lock up stage with windows and doors installed, cladding will be installed over the next few weeks. We have cooking facilities inside, a frigde/ freezer, wifi and a TV. There is ample fresh water straight from our mountain stream stored in tanks, an outdoor shower and washing machine and dryer The home is fully off grid and powered. We have septic hooked up with a flushing toilet.

You would be looking after 2 small dogs ( Maltese x Shihtzu ) who are very friendly and affectionate, and need to be fed daily/ fresh water topped up. We have 12 chickens, so lots of fresh eggs. The chickens will need to be let out to free range during the day and locked back up in the evenings, although they are very good at going back inside their pen in the evening.

There is only a small amount of grass that may need to be mowed, we have a ride on mower.

You will need to cross the Daintree River by ferry - ample Ferry tickets will be provided for you to use throughout your stay. Mossman is 30 mins away and has Woolworths, pharmacy, Hospital, other shops and Mossman Gorge. Port Douglas is another 15 km south.

Our home is situated in an ideal location to explore surrounding areas.
