House sit Selby

Settling into Selby requires embracing a slower, bush-oriented rhythm. Most daily needs are met by driving toward the nearby hubs of Belgrave or Olinda, as the local landscape is dominated by dense fern gullies and winding, tree-lined roads. If you are watching a dog, the proximity to the Dandenong Ranges provides endless walking tracks, though staying mindful of the damp forest floor is essential for keeping paws clean. Groceries and coffee runs typically involve a short trip to the local village strips where small bakeries and independent shops anchor the area. While public transport is limited to occasional bus links, a car is necessary for accessing larger supermarkets or navigating the hilly terrain. Walking between properties can be steep and shaded, making it ideal for quiet afternoon strolls once pet duties are finished. Life here revolves around the natural environment, so expect a peaceful atmosphere where the sounds of birds replace city noise.
