We’re looking for a kind, reliable person or couple to look after our home and our much-loved 11-year-old Jack Russell, Otis, while we head to the UK for Christmas and New Year.

Otis is an easy-going, low-maintenance little guy. He loves a run and play at the dog park most afternoons, but otherwise is very happy relaxing at home. He can comfortably be left for around 6 hours, so you won’t need to be home all day.

Otis does have very occasional seizures, generally around once a year, so we like to be upfront about this. They don’t affect his normal day-to-day life, and we’ll provide all the information you need.

We’re looking for someone who will enjoy having Otis as company and treat our home with care. Overnight stays are required for the duration of the sit.

We’d love to meet beforehand, show you around and introduce you to Otis to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone.

Our home is in Ormiston, on Brisbane’s beautiful Bayside, a peaceful, leafy area with a relaxed coastal feel. We’re close to Cleveland, Raby Bay and the waterfront, with cafes, restaurants, shops, parks and walking paths all nearby. The train station is also close, making it easy to get into Brisbane without a car. We live in a modern, comfortable home within a secure gated community, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The property is very low maintenance, with onsite groundsmen taking care of the gardens. The community has a resort-style pool, gym and dog park directly across the road, which Otis absolutely loves! The house has ducted air conditioning, Wi-Fi, comfortable living spaces and everything you’d need for a relaxing month-long stay. It’s a great spot to enjoy the Bayside lifestyle over summer, while still being within easy reach of Brisbane.
