Spend a month on the Mornington Peninsula

My scheduled sitter had pulled out, so I am opening this assignment again.

I have three male cockatiels. When I am here they are not caged. Cyril, the baby chatting one, is hand reared and very tame. George, the oldest, is a rescue bird who cannot fly. Nuebert is aloof and prefers to be left alone by humans. He and George are inseparable and spend most of their time within six inches of each other. None of them are biters.

They all need feeding twice a day - morning and evening, with clean water.

I have placed them with a Carer in the past, but they would much prefer to stay home!

Their cage, which they live on top of (not inside) needs cleaning out once a week. This is a bit of a job, but pretty straightforward. The vacuum cleaner is a handy assistant!

The house was built in the 1950s and has been renovated - open plan living area with a dining nook and a small, but very adequate kitchen (gas cooking) make up the main living area.

There's a bathroom with both bath and shower. Ducted heating. Solar power. Front loader washing machine; tumble dryer and under cover washing line.

Please do not use the open fire place - it upsets the birds, who make “warning screeches” as fire would be a hazard in the natural environment.

Located close to local shops, with a major shopping complex within walking distance, it is my forever home, enhanced by my eclectic museum/art collection. All walls are painted white - the Art makes the colours.

Plenty of restaurants and cafes close by and a 5 minute walk to the beach - with a choice of pubs. Great to watch the sunset, including in winter.

Wineries are not too far to drive to and the area is renown for epicurean delights.

This is a re-opened assignment as, unfortunately, The booked sitter has had to cancel.
