House Sitting in hawthorn, 3122

Morning routines in Hawthorn often begin with a coffee along Glenferrie Road before heading toward the leafy stretches of Anderson Park. If your house sit includes a dog, the wide walking paths surrounding the Yarra River offer long, shaded loops that feel a world away from the inner-city bustle. Many sitters find a rhythm walking toward the riverbank trails in the early light, providing plenty of exercise for pets while enjoying the local scenery. Weekends lend themselves to wandering through the local boutiques or browsing the seasonal produce at nearby markets. While the pace here feels more settled than in the CBD, the tram lines on Burwood Road provide an easy connection to the city if you need a change of scenery. Spending afternoons reading in a sun-drenched backyard or exploring the quiet residential streets makes looking after a home feel less like a job and more like a slow-paced retreat.
