House Sitting in central tilba, 2546

Waking in Central Tilba, the first sounds are often birdsong and the gentle rustle of leaves. Your daily rhythm will naturally align with the village's quiet pace. A morning walk with your charge often begins with a stroll down Bate Street, past the brightly painted heritage buildings and the Tilba Real Dairy, where you might grab fresh milk or cheese for breakfast. The air is always fresh, carrying the scent of eucalyptus, making this first outing a peaceful start for both you and any four-legged companions. Midday unfolds with opportunities for longer explorations. Paved paths extend to the village edges, offering views towards Gulaga Mountain, an imposing backdrop to everyday life. These routes are ideal for extending a dog's exercise, allowing them to sniff new scents along the fence lines and grassy verges, while you absorb the tranquil surroundings. Lunch might be a picnic from the village general store, or perhaps a simple meal prepared at home. Afternoons in Tilba invite a slower gear. Provisions are found at the local stores, with a broader range of groceries requiring a short drive to Narooma. The Dromedary Hotel offers an evening option, or simply settling into the comfort of your temporary home, watching the sunset over the paddocks, defines the local experience. This quiet routine, punctuated by the distinct village charm, becomes the pulse of your stay, ensuring pets are content and the home remains undisturbed.
