House Sitting in turramurra, 2074

Living in Turramurra offers a quiet, leafy rhythm that suits a relaxed house-sitting pace. Most mornings begin with the scent of eucalyptus and the sound of cockatoos echoing through the tall gums. Taking a dog for a long walk through the winding tracks of Lane Cove National Park or along the shaded streets of the residential pockets provides a gentle way to settle into a new home. The neighborhood feels established and grounded, where neighbors recognize one another during a stroll toward the local shops. The local café strips provide easy spots to sit with a book or grab a quick coffee before catching a train from the station. While the pace is slower than the city, the proximity to transport makes errands simple. Weekend routines often revolve around local markets or exploring the nearby bushland trails. Caring for a home here means embracing this stillness and enjoying the sense of security found in such a settled, green pocket of the North Shore.
