We're on a large rural house block with great panaromic views across the Barambah Creek valley. We provide our own reticulated water from two large tanks filled from our new large house (four generous sized bedrooms, office, two lounge areas (two TV!), separate family and dining room, ensuite and indoor spa) and two bay garage (one may be available). The spa is available for use, with minor daily treatment, or can be "winterised". A good driveway and parking areas are established and the gardens are gradually being established, with automatic watering. We are getting some flowers and vegetables already! There is a ride on mower and other gardening items to keep the place relatively neat. Good neighbours make the place even better. A three year old desexed female Cavoodle dog, Mocha, loves being outside and inside, although she sleeps outside at night. She doesn't shed hair, but can bring the red soil inside when wet! Timber floors are not too hard to clean. The fencing is wallaby proof (and keeps Mocha inside). Walking Mocha weekdays for up to three kilometres keeps her very happy and us a bit fitter. The veranda and deck across the front of the house get full sun in summer and are great for entertaining. Ducted air-conditioning is on when it becomes too hot! The fernery area on the roadside of the house is shaded in the afternoons and is a pleasant spot to have a "coolie" drink during the late afternoon. December can produce storms, which at their worst can have rain blowing across the veranda. In exceptional circumstances, a storm may result in needing to place towels across some doors and windows. The house has grid electricity, a waste water treatment plant, BBQ and internet, with three WiFi modems to give good coverage. Mobile phone reception with Telstra is limited outside the house, but generally calls can be taken or made outside without the WiFi. We even have a postal delivery three times a week. Unfortunately, we have to dispose of our own rubbish at the Murgon or Cloyna waste facilities, which are about 16 and 13 kilometres away).

The Murgon area has some nice wineries with pleasant dining facilities (generally lunch only in summer). There is a good lake associated with Bjelke Petersen Dam, suitable for boating, fishing, swimming and other recreations in the parks. Murgon town has a large IGA supermarket plus independent fruit shop and butcher. Three cafes and a bakery provide early coffee etc. Two nice pubs and the Services Club provide seven day a week lunch and dinner. The beauty of a small town is its service and easy parking in the centre of town, adjacent to the park in the middle of the main street.
