Lexi is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl who loves people and gets very attached to her humans. At home, once she has settled with you, she is an absolute couch potato. She is calm, easy-going and very happy spending her day relaxing around the house and keeping you company. She is very friendly with both people and other dogs, but she gets very excited when out and about. Because her enthusiasm can sometimes result in rough interactions with other dogs, she needs someone confident and experienced with dogs who is comfortable managing her on walks. Lexi needs at least one hour of exercise each day. This can be an on-lead walk or, when the fenced dog park is empty, she loves having the space to run and play by herself. She should remain on lead around other dogs.

She eats allergy-sensitive kibble twice a day and can comfortably be left home alone for up to 8 hours, so you’ll still have plenty of freedom to work, explore Perth or spend the day out. Lexi normally sleeps with us in bed, but she is adaptable and can settle on her own bed in the corridor or on the couch if you’d rather not share your bed with a Staffy!

You’ll have our comfortable 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house to yourself for the duration of the stay.

The house has central air-conditioning in the living room, which keeps the whole house cool during Perth’s summer, as well as high-speed Wi-Fi, Netflix and other streaming services. There are also two off-street parking spaces available on the driveway.

We’re in Balga, conveniently located in Perth’s northern suburbs. There is a direct bus to Perth CBD, taking approximately 25 minutes, and shops and a leisure centre with a gym and indoor swimming pool are around a 5-minute walk away. If you have a car, some of Perth’s best beaches are approximately 15-20 minutes away, while the CBD and the Swan valley are also located a 20 minute drive away, making the house a convenient base for exploring Perth and the surrounding areas over summer.

What we need from you

The main priority is simply keeping Lexi happy, exercised and loved while we’re away. We’d ask you to:

• Give Lexi at least one hour of exercise each day

• Feed her kibble twice daily

• Give her plenty of company, affection and attention

• Feed our two small goldfish twice a week

• Water our indoor plants once a week

• Keep the house clean and tidy during your stay

There are no complicated garden or property-maintenance requirements.

Who we’re looking for

We’d love to find mature, tidy and responsible sitter(s) who genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs.

Because Lexi can be excitable on walks, previous experience handling dogs is important. We would also like to speak with people who can provide previous house/pet-sitting or dog-care references. Most importantly, we want someone we can trust to treat Lexi as part of the family while we’re away.

Our dates are currently 3 December 2026 to 24 January 2027, although we have some flexibility at either end for the right person. If you’re looking for a comfortable home base in Perth for the summer and think you and Lexi would be a good match, we’d love to hear from you and have a chat!
