House sit TORQUAY

Life in Torquay moves at the rhythm of the tides and the morning surf reports. Settling into a local home means adopting a slower pace, where days often begin with a walk along the Foreshore Reserve or a quiet stroll through the coastal bushland trails. You might find yourself grabbing a flat white on the main strip before heading toward Jan Juc for a more rugged coastal experience. The neighbourhood carries a relaxed, salt-crusted character that makes even simple errands feel like part of a coastal ritual. Caring for pets here usually involves long afternoon wanderings along the beach or trips to the local parks to watch the clouds roll in. Most residents treat their homes as sanctuaries from the wind, so keeping a house secure and warm becomes a natural part of the routine. Between trips to the local markets and watching the sunset over the Great Ocean Road, you will quickly notice how the community values quiet reliability and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape.
