House sit MARIBYRNONG

Life in Maribyrnong, with a pet in your care, finds its natural tempo by the water. Each morning, the winding Maribyrnong River Trail offers an immediate, tranquil start. Walk your companion north towards Pipemakers Park, where open spaces invite a stretch of the legs, or south along the quieter reaches where the river bends towards Footscray. The air often carries the scent of eucalyptus and rivergum, a calming backdrop to early walks. Following a good outdoor session, a brief tram ride on Route 57 or a short stroll brings you to local essentials. Consider the Union Road cluster of cafes for a quiet coffee, perhaps a pastry, before returning to your temporary home. The afternoon invites settling in, perhaps a quiet nap for your charge, while you enjoy the residential stillness. Neighbourhood streets provide easy, quick relief walks, less strenuous than the longer river paths. Evenings in Maribyrnong tend towards peaceful, residential quiet. Dinner preparations can be leisurely, with ingredients easily sourced from Highpoint’s market hall or a local grocer. This suburb’s pace encourages a true home-base experience; a comfortable evening with your pet close by, perhaps a book, rather than seeking out bustling nightlife. The sounds of the river, rather than city traffic, often define the night.
