Requirements

Our house is a 15 years old 2 storey home on a small, subdivided block within walking distance to Garden City Westfield, Mount Gravatt and Hibiscus swimming pool complex with excellent bus connections either via the busway or Logan Road buses. It is a very green area 12km from the CBD with Toohey Forest just up the hill and there is plenty of wildlife in the area, birds, wallabies and Koalas. All our pets are rescues and they are:

Manu a black/ white shorthair domestic - indoor only - cat ~ 13 years old but very mobile and healthy, just needs feeding once a day, cleaning of his litter box and access to water. he will come for a cuddle and seeks human company.

Odie is an 8 year old chocolate Labrador, full of silliness but otherwise well behaved. He is cuddly but clumsy so might occasionally step on feet or squeeze past when going downstairs.

Saffie is a blond mix breed (Ridgeback x Mastiff with other bits) rescue with a difficult puppyhood, she joined us at 8months of age and has multiple anxieties, but she is the most affectionate dog. She is on anti anxiety medication once a day to take the edge of and has improved a lot with years of training, but gets easily triggered by wildlife, loud noises or other dogs. Our dogs weigh around 30 kg each and are quite strong. Odie is easy on the leash and loves walks, but Saffie is more challenging with her reactivity, so we would prefer her to just be entertained at home for her own and others safety. She also has to be kept secure at all times. Her favourite game is finding treats that have been hidden in the yard or puzzle toys and of course cuddling. Saffie loves people that are calm and reassuring, kind and consistent, so young children would be too unpredictable for her.

We do have a small garden that does not need much attention, most plants are native and only need very little water if it is extremely hot and dry. We do have some indoor plants, but these should also just require watering every now and then.
