We have a 9yo mini Dachshund named Tilly who has never been in a kennel. We usually have a friend or family member available to look after her but this is the first time that is not possible. It's daunting to find an unknown person to look after our very treasured family member in our own home. Tilly is a good girl (most of the time) and a great little guard dog. She sleeps inside in our bedroom, mostly on her own bed. We have a large enclosed garden to keep her safe, while also providing plenty of stimulation. We live a 5-10 min drive from the beach and nearest town, which is Dunsborough, in the South West of WA (a beautiful part of the world). Walks of 1-2 km, 1-2 times a day is all she needs and is not required every day. She can be left home alone for 4-5 hours max, but not every day and not overnight. We live on a rural residential property with all modern amenities. We have a guest bedroom with ensuite, WIR and queen bed for guests to stay. Not sure what else I can add. Would prefer a single female or couple.
