My partner and I are seeking a house/pet sitter for the above dates. Our home is a federation style home built in the 1940s with 2 large bedrooms; renovated kitchen that has ample bench and cupboard space, a dishwasher and stove/oven; a renovated bathroom that has a double shower; 2 toilets; a lounge room with curved lounge that includes 2 recliners, large TV and connected Foxtel and WiFi; a dining room; a man cave with second TV, lounge and x-box; front verandah overlooking a large front garden with windmill; back deck with BBQ; large backyard that is fully fenced; laundry is contained in a seperate room at back step; and, a double lock up garage. There is a long concrete driveway that should be able to fit a caravan if needed but it would be preferred the sitters are in the home. We live in walking distance to the shops in Kingaroy. We have some beautiful areas to explore in the South Burnett such as the Bunya Mountains which are about 45 minutes drive from our place; Boondoomba and BP dams within an hour’s drive where you can go kayaking, fishing, boating; Nanango markets on the first Saturday of each month; the rail trail to walk or ride; etc. Kingaroy is situated 2 hours from Toowoomba, 3 hours from Brisbane and 2 1/2 hours from the Sunshine Coast. We have a 17 year old cat, a 3 year old Cavoodle and 5 fish. We believe our cat has some cat dementia and will howl a couple of times on occasion until he is reassured, so he will require someone with patience and compassion. But he is quite independent and not a lap cat. Our Cavoodle likes to play ball in the backyard for 10 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon and go to the Kingaroy dog park for an hour on Saturday with our dog group. He loves to be near us and will curl up on the lounge or bed at night with us. The fish just need a feed once a day. The only house maintenance would be the plants in the front garden getting a water every 2 or 3 days and the bins being put out each Sunday. A cleaner comes once a fortnight. Thank you 😊
