We live on a rural acreage block, that offers privacy and security with exceptional neighbours!

Our property “Barooga” is low maintenance, in Oak Valley off the Flinders Highway in the Townsville region with the house yard and gardens only requiring the sprinklers to be turned on.

Only a short 10 minute drive to major shopping centres (Fairfield Central), it’s centrally located but off the beaten path with 2 dams & room to enjoy the local wildlife.

There are plenty of places to go for a walk, and there is a native bird watching track down the road.

We have two dogs; Argo & Digger who would love for some one to spend time playing ball & turning on the air conditioner and letting them come and sleep inside.

There are horses & chickens that will require daily watering and feeding; all feed will be available and made easy to understand!

Essentially, we are looking for a single or couple who would like to spend some time close to town but rural enough to enjoy the local wildlife whilst staying at home with our animals during our time away. Preferably someone that will spend most of the time at the property.

We have a bedroom available, but are also happy if you want to bring your caravan and park up next to the house.

If you have animals, we are fine with that - we just ask you come a day or two before hand to introduce them to everything so you don’t have your hands too full!

On offer is our humble home, with great outdoor entertaining areas including pizza oven & fire pit.

We are looking for reliable, trustworthy folks that will appreciate our home & send us daily updates via FB to let us know all is okay whilst we are overseas!

Horses are not to be ridden - unfortunately insurance is too high to risk people riding them. They do love a carrot & pat though!

Fridge will be filled with beer, and a few treats to say thank you!
