Requirements

Our most important requirement is that when we go away, we want to be assured that our animals welfare is prioritised. We have a 1x2yo beagle, 1x11mo cat, 4 chickens and an aviary with approximately 20 birds. This figure varies with births and deaths.

Our dog, Daisy is probably better behaved than the average beagle, although the breed sets a bar pretty low. She can be naughty but mostly she's happy and smoochy. Daisy loves life and is always hungry, hence the reason most beagles are overweight, however Daisy is used to being starved (as she sees it!). She requires a walk daily - we usually take her to one of the areas beautiful beaches - and some attention.

Tilly the cat is very self-sufficient, she is kept indoors at night and is very friendly and cuddly.

The chickens can be free-ranged for a short time each day but that is not totally necessary as the pen is large enough. They require fresh food and water dispenser topped up twice a week. as do the birds.

Our modern home, on 5 level acres, is located between Yamba and Maclean. It is single level with ducted air conditioning, fireplace and pool and has beautiful surroundings, close to beaches. We have a bbq, wood-fired pizza oven and fire pit.

The area is 51% national park, so you won't be short on sights to see. Yamba has an abundance of great dining and bars, a perfect place to have a holiday, and Maclean is one of the many charming riverside towns in the area, mostly with nice pubs.

Pool maintenance is outsourced and most gardens are on irrigation systems.
