Assignment Requirements

NON SMOKERS ONLY. One older dog to look after and several gardens to water. Watering will require water transfer to ensure tanks don't run dry; all done with levers and electric pumps. Yard may also require watering. All watering is through a timed irrigation system, so only requires a knob to be turned. Hand held hosing only for a small neighbour's garden, which I have permission to use for growing plants. Small, single storey house pretty much on waterfront in small holiday village on the mouth of Burrum River, QLD.

Assignment is for Walkers Point, which is part of Woodgate, but about 8km from Woodgate itself. There are no facilities here, but most things you need are in Woodgate. This is a great spot for kayaking, boating and fishing. If you have a bike, it's great for that too, although most of the tracks are sand, so a fat tyred mountain bike would work better than skinny wheels. Hikers would love it here. The 12km Melaleuca track loop through the Burrum Coast National Park is just at the end of the esplanade and there are other tracks along the river towards Hoppy Lark's landing. The Banksia track is a 5km hiking track in Woodgate itself, which you can easily extend by exploring the connecting QPWS management roads through the national park. If you have a boat there is a brand new state of the art boat ramp at Walkers Point, which has just opened. There's heaps of info online about Woodgate and the surrounding areas.
