Assignment Requirements

We live on a beautiful five-acre property on Comerong Island, surrounded by nature, with a mix of friendly pets and farm animals.

Our animals include Meg, our lovely cattle dog cross Staffy, Sooky our cat, seven goats, a few cows and a flock of chickens.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys animals and is comfortable with a rural lifestyle. Daily responsibilities will include feeding and caring for the household dog and cat, feeding the chickens, collecting eggs, checking on the goats and cows, daily feeding of goats, and cows look after themselves. Making sure everyone is happy, healthy and safe. Taking the goats for an occasional walk.

We’re not expecting anyone to take on major gardening or farm work, just someone responsible, attentive and happy to maintain the daily routines while we’re away.

Ideally, we’d love someone with previous experience caring for farm animals who will treat our home and animals as their own.
