Arlo on the beach

Assignment Requirements

We are looking for a house sitters to look after our spacious house and dog.

Arlo is a 4 year old rescue dog. He has grown up with two kids but can get anxious at times so we would prefer someone with dog experience to look after him. He is a big softy once he's gotten to know you. One walk per day.

The garden doesn’t need much maintenance during winter, just lawn mowing and pots watering. The house has gas heating and solar panels. You will have to pay for the utilities and $1000.00 refundable deposit. We also require references and a police check. Would suit single professional working from home or retired couple.

About the Area

HAMPTON Melbourne, Victoria
Suburb Insights
Hampton offers a relaxed, coastal rhythm that suits a quiet house-sitting stay. Most daily errands revolve around the local shops along Station Street, where you can grab fresh produce or coffee before heading to the nearby botanic gardens. The suburb feels open and green, making it easy to take dogs for long walks along the shaded trails or through the quiet residential streets. Since the area is quite walkable, you can often bypass the car for short trips to the local deli or bakery. Getting around requires a bit of planning if you aren't driving. The train line provides a steady connection toward the city, though most locals rely on cars to reach the surf at nearby beaches or for larger shopping trips. When caring for pets, the proximity to open parks means plenty of space for exercise without long commutes. Life here moves at a slower pace, allowing you to settle into a home routine centered around morning walks and easy access to essential supplies.
