My husband & I live in a modern country home on 15 acres 30 minutes south of Canberra and 20 minutes from Queanbeyan. Although the profile states Snowy Mountains the ski fields are about 2 hours south from here.

Our property is in a quiet country location with main shopping hubs being not too far away. We are a couple of hours from the coast and the snow fields which make for easy day trips. We live almost next door to Googong Dam which is part of the water catchment for the ACT. I am not positive, however I think you can use non powered vessels on it, as well as activities such as fishing, bush walking, walking and there are nice areas for picnics. The surrounding National Park includes some historic sites which are a short drive then walk from here. We have sealed roads right to the property with a garage for parking space for one car. We do not have access to public transport though.

We have two large outdoor Rottweiler dogs (2 yrs old, brother & sister) who are very affectionate and well behaved although they still believe they're puppies and can be quite strong. They have 1.5 acres of house paddock to run in and don't necessarily require daily walks, although they do enjoy a walk off lead in our paddocks. We have an indoor only cat who is even more affectionate than the dogs, he is more than happy to spend time with you on the lounge and cuddle up with you on the bed all night long. The dogs and cat are fed twice daily however don't have any requirements of medications or other special attention. We also have 8 chooks, the hen house gets cleaned regularly and their food and water only needs to be checked every few days or so, they also love the veggie scraps from the household, we are currently getting 5 eggs a day on average so you won't be short of eggs to eat.
