Requirements

Hi, We live on a 70 acre property about 15 mins west of Maleny and about 2 mins to Conondale. Our property has a combination of cleared area on the road side where the house is and about 40 acres of bush on the creek side. Beautiful Elaman Creek runs all the way through the middle and is lovely to cool off in during Summer. The only animals we have at the moment are chickens and a beautiful 9 month old puppy called Missy. She is a kelpie/cattle dog/border collie cross and is fairly active and the size of an adult dog.

We live in a very comfortable 'shouse' ( a shed converted into a house). It looks like a shed on the outside but is fully insulated and looks just like a normal house on the inside. It has a covered and insulated verandah on the front with a gas BBQ and dining setting.

It has solar air conditioning, gas cooktop, gas fridge and gas hot water and runs on a very reliable petrol generator (switch in the garage) at night. We have tank water with filtered drinking water inside. During the day you have a 'trickle feed' to the taps and when the generator is on at night you have proper running tap water.

The house is only one bedroom with a spare double bed in the living area. TV reception and phone signal is good. We have free to air TV stations, Netflix, etc.

If you love nature, we have a multitude of birds, wallabies, lizards, koalas and other small wild animals that frequent the property and ducks, platypus and cod in the creek, which we see quite regularly.

Your main job would be to look after the chickens, walk and play with Missy a couple of times a day ( off lead around the property), water the plants and vege garden and generally just relax and enjoy the peace and serenity.

You would be able to leave the property for a few hours here and there as we have a cage outside for Missy, but we prefer she is not in there for extended periods of time. She is considered part of our family and so I am looking for someone who loves dogs and is prepared to treat her well.

Fishing for the cod is not an option, as we prefer to have them there.

Everything would be supplied for you. Enough fuel to run the generator at night will be supplied but if you want to run it during the day you would have to buy extra.

This would be suitable for a single or couple who loves animals.

Please contact me if you may be interested or for more information.

cheers,

Anne
