Requirements
Two elderly desexed male cats. Easy to care for, just food and water. Both cats are very gentle, old and like to sleep ... a lot.
Neither cat has ever been vicious but the younger one is terrified of children and will flee if a child walks up the driveway. He can still run fast so no child has managed to corner him :)
House sitters will have a lot of time to themselves as there is no walking necessary. They just need to be fed twice a day.
Sam, the really old one, may need to be fed 3 times a day as he can only eat small amounts at a time. He will let you know if he's hungry.
In summer they are happy to spend a lot of time outdoors but they normally sleep indoors, which is preferred because they are safe from other roaming tomcats. But it's no drama if they wish to spend a night out (they are too old to hunt so they aren't a danger to wildlife. They are both fully house-trained so there is NO KITTY LITTER to worry about. They will let you know when they want to go outdoors and knock at the front door when they want to come back in. (If ignored, the younger one might try to climb the screen door :( .. and he's 8.5kg so can do a bit of damage if ignored for too long. BUT don't let him make a slave of you. Use your voice to let him know he's being naughty.

This is Pickle. 10 years old and very affectionate once he gets over initial shyness. He is afraid of children and has been since he was a kitten. He eats dried food... lots of it. He's 8.5kg and a bit of a piggy. He will try and steal Sam's food so it's best to feed one indoors and one outdoors and give Sam time to eat before Pickle steals the food.
This is Sam. He is 16 years old and loves to sleep. He has a little difficulty eating dry food so has meat or wet food 2 or 3 times a day. He's small (4.5kg) but being older he still likes to let Pickle know who's boss. Sometimes they will scrap but it's not serious, they have never hurt each other. It just a competition to see who can remain Alpha male. Sam might be old and frail but he normally wins.
Bald Rock national park is also close by. Again, some stunning scenery and walks.
Girraween national park is one of the local national parks close to Tenterfield. Well worth visiting!
