House sit KILLCARE

Your mornings in Killcare often begin with the bush birdsong. A short lead walk around the quiet residential streets or perhaps a brisk stroll towards the Killcare Surf Life Saving Club with your charge, letting them sniff the salty air. This routine sets a relaxed tone, providing ample opportunities for pets to stretch their legs before the day warms up. Consider the tracks accessible directly from the back fence, where a quick circuit can satisfy even the most energetic dog, provided national park rules are observed. For more substantial outings, Bouddi National Park offers an impressive network of trails, though remember most sections exclude dogs. However, several local pathways outside the park boundaries offer stunning views and a good workout. Putty Beach, just a short drive, has a designated dog-friendly section where your canine companion can splash freely, an ideal weekend destination. Afterwards, swing by Hardys Bay for a coffee at one of the village cafes and pick up essentials at the general store. Weekends here invite longer explorations. Consider the scenic ferry ride from Wagstaffe across to Palm Beach, an enjoyable excursion without a car, offering a different perspective on the coastline. Closer to home, a walk along the Killcare Beach shore at low tide offers quiet contemplation. Evenings are generally subdued, focusing on home comforts after a day of walks and fresh air. This slower tempo ensures you and your temporary housemates settle into a rhythm that prioritises calm and connection with the natural world surrounding you.
