Hi, My husband (Mark) and I are taking some friends from Seattle USA on a camping road trip of far north Queensland.

I have a 50kg Akita named Shinto. Regrettably we need to leave Shinto at home. Akita's by nature are a little like cats. Ever seen the move 'Hiachi' . They want pat's on their terms but love to have company and go for walks. He is an inside/outside dog but has great manners and never sits on the furniture or bed. He is dog social and is well know and loved at our local dog off leash area. We live in an old Queenslander cottage with wooden floor boards and tiles through out. We are three streets back from the sea and close to ‘The Roosters’ club. Bus stop, train, pub, coffee shops, butcher and hairdressers are all walk able. Our 'RoboKing' vacuum cleaner (who we call Dorothy as she can't always find her way home!!) will assist you with keeping the dog hair under control and the lawns are contracted out.
